The government has revealed that a new “exit permit” is needed in order to depart from England

The most severe movement restrictions ever known during a time of peace have been tightened even further with the Declaration to Travel.

Minister said the date for the resumption of foreign travel will be later than May 17.
Less than sixty hours remain before departing travelers must obtain an unprecedented “Declaration to Travel,” according to information released by the government.

Even if they have the legal right to go, anyone entering “a port of departure to travel internationally” in England on Monday, March 8th, without a completed form will be breaking the law.

It will be mandatory for airlines, train operators, and ferry firms to verify that customers are traveling overseas with a legitimate purpose.

Currently, the “stay-at-home” law makes all holidays, domestic and foreign, illegal. The earliest date that a person could leave England for a vacation is May 17.

Only a few exemptions, such as those related to employment, urgent family concerns, and medical care, permit travel abroad.

In addition to requesting personal information like address, passport number, and destination, the form asks travelers to check a box designating their purported reason for travel.

“You may carry evidence to support your reason to travel,” the government declares.
The most severe limitations on movement ever known during a time of peace have been tightened even further with the Declaration to Travel.

“There are still too many people coming in and out of our country each day,” the home secretary issued a warning in January.

The Declaration to Travel, according to Priti Patel, was “a necessary step to protect the public and our world-class vaccination programme,” she told the house.

Labour has repeatedly asked for stricter controls and has supported government curbs on movement.
The permission was released along with Cyprus’s announcement that it will begin accepting travelers who have received all recommended vaccinations on May 1.
